Thanksgiving side dishes- vegetables for meat...
Lynne Rosetto Kasper, host of NPR’s Splendid Table, takes calls from folks wanting answers to kitchen queries, suggestions for dishes, etc. Today someone called in asking for something schmancy for Thanksgiving- said that her family was used to being guinea pigs, so something new and different would be totally cool. Thanksgiving desserts for crazy people.
I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of buttermilk chess pie served with a scoop of pumpkin frozen custard and drizzled with cranberry coulis. And maybe the coulis has some orange in it. If you try it, give me a call- I’ll be right over with my camera. And a fork.
