Cookies are made of butter and love. ~Norwegian Proverb [Part deux]
This Christmas we didn’t do the usual thing. I didn’t bake, Mom didn’t make an epic dinner, no plum pudding, no showing off our gifts, no midnight mass. It was nice and low-key, sure, but I’d already stockpiled a few pounds of butter in the freezer and had a need (need, I tell you) to make something. And Mom and Dad gave me a Linzer cutter set for my birthday that they’d bought in Italy.
So I made a batch of cookies, and some fudge, for the folks at my part time job and put the leftovers out for the neighbors- who left a few nice thank you notes. Seriously. Thank you notes. How nice is that?
